Disclosebrief

Accessibility

Last updated 2026-10-09. Disclosebrief aims at WCAG 2.2 level AA. Contrast and structure are measured on the live page with an automated checker before each release; a person's report outranks it.

What the page does

  • A verdict is a letter in a box, T, U or F, with its meaning in words beside it. No colour carries a verdict anywhere.
  • Every control is a native button, link, input or select, reachable by keyboard in reading order, with a visible violet focus outline.
  • Status lines are announced as they change: the read count, errors naming the column or row, and the till's state.
  • Text contrast on the canary ground is at least 5.5 to 1, and body text 14.6 to 1.
  • With reduced motion set, the ledger and the figures draw at their final state at once. Without JavaScript, the page shows the sample's figures and ledger and links the sample brief.

Known limits

  • The CSV box keeps one post per line without wrapping, so long rows scroll sideways inside it. The one-post form beside it takes the same fields one at a time.
  • The brief document keeps ensign's own stylesheet with system fonts, so it opens with nothing fetched; its pale brass labels are lighter than this page's text.
